It’s hard to believe it’s already May! Our attorneys have been hard at work this year, and it has really paid off for our clients. So far this year we’ve received work permits for more than 25 U visa applicants, and five clients who had U visa status were granted lawful permanent residency. We’ve also received travel authorization for a client with a pending U visa-based adjustment of status application, and emergency advanced parole travel authorization for a client in DACA status.
The citizenship application for one of our clients was recently approved, another client who married a U.S. citizen was awarded lawful permanent residency, and we received an I-601 waiver approval for a client living in Mexico. We also helped another client successfully renew their DACA status.
We’ve been busy in court as well. One of our attorneys successfully reopened the removal case of a client who was ordered deported when she failed to appear in court, only because she never received notice of her hearing. We have filed another motion to reopen and terminate a removal order for a minor client who has a juvenile visa and is eligible to apply for permanent residency, and we’ve filed ten asylum applications for clients in removal proceedings.
We’ve been hard at work so far this year, and we plan to keep it up! The attorneys at Bennett & Harker advocate hard for our clients, and our successful case record shows it. If you believe you may be eligible for immigration benefits and want to talk with one of our attorneys about your case, please contact us!
